Géraldine BLANCHARD graduated DVM from the Vet School of Alfort (France) in 1994, interested in Equine Medicine, but even more in Nutrition.
First oriented to an Academic carrier, she passed the French academic abilitation (agregation) in 1999, her PhD on Lipoprotein metabolism and Hepatic Lipidosis in Cats, and became Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary and Comparative Nutrition (ECVCN) in 2002.
From 1996, she developed Clinical Nutrition at the Vet School of Alfort, where she was Assistant Professor, until 2006.
Any tenure position was unlikely, so she decided to leave the University. After a sabbatical turned into a position of Senior Lecturer in Australia (University of Queensland, Brisbane), and back to France, she launched a private consulting company: Animal Nutrition Expertise.
More recently, she launched a second company, Vet Nutrition Coach, dedicated to continuing education in animal nutrition and veterinary sciences.
Animal Nutrition Expertise offers training and consulting in animal nutrition to veterinarians and companies in the field of animal nutrition and health, from ingredients providers to petfood manufacturer.
Activity included registration of European parnut file, formulation, design of the product range, clinical trials design...with clients worldwide.
Géraldine also runs a specialized consultation of Clinical Nutrition, in a private practice in Paris area (Antony), and organizes and participates as a lecturer to several continuing education programs for vets, nurses, breeders and also pet owners.
Geraldine is author and co-author of 2 books and several book chapters.
Geraldine has trained successfully 3 residents of the College who became Dipl. ECVCN.
Despite a private activity, Geraldine also keeps doing research.
She is based in Paris area, but is more likely to be called Citizen of the World.
